Privacy Policy
T2 Coach is a Montréal, Québec startup building a triathlon training platform. The service is offered as a free, invitation-only beta before its official launch. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and how to exercise your rights. It follows Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector.

Health data, including menstrual cycle data, is sensitive information. We collect it only with your express consent, asked for separately for each type, and only if you connect your Garmin account. You can use T2 Coach without sharing cycle data.
Why we use it
- To build your training plan and adjust it to your sessions, your recovery and, if you turned it on, your menstrual cycle.
- To send your structured workouts and routes to your Garmin Connect account, so they reach your watch or Edge bike computer.
- To show you your week, your trends and the reason behind each change.
- To answer messages sent through the contact form.
- To run and secure the service.
We don't use your information for advertising, we don't sell it, and we don't do commercial profiling.
Artificial intelligence
Plan adjustments are generated with the help of Claude, an artificial intelligence model by Anthropic, used through its application programming interface (API). We send it only what coaching needs: a summary of your sessions and recovery data (and cycle data, if you turned it on), your goals and your plan. We don't send your name or email address. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, data sent through its API is not used to train its models.
This processing requires your express consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Without it, no Garmin data is sent to Anthropic and your plan doesn't adjust automatically.

When you connect your Garmin account, Garmin also processes your data under its own Garmin Connect privacy policy.
Some information is therefore communicated outside Québec. Before doing so, we assessed the privacy factors and we make sure, by contract, that these providers offer adequate protection. We don't share your information with any other third party unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Account and training data: as long as your account is active.
- If you disconnect Garmin or ask us to delete your account, your data is deleted within 30 days. Backup copies are erased within the following 30 days.
- Contact form messages: 24 months at most, unless you become a user.
- Technical logs: up to 90 days, for security.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Garmin access tokens are stored encrypted. Access is restricted and protected by two-factor authentication. If a confidentiality incident creates a risk of serious injury, we will notify the people affected and the Commission d'accès à l'information.
Your rights
At any time, you can:
- access your information and get a copy in a structured, commonly used technological format;
- have inaccurate information corrected;
- withdraw a consent (for example, stop sharing cycle data), disconnect your Garmin account or ask for your data to be deleted;
- ask a question about our practices.
Write to contact@t2coach.com. We reply within 30 days. If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.
Cookies and local storage
We use only one essential session cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's local storage to remember your light or dark theme choice. No advertising or analytics cookies.
Minimum age
T2 Coach is for people 18 and older.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and email you about any significant change before it applies.
